Our Ceramic Coating Installation Process

Ceramic coating a car is a multi-step process that requires proper preparation, application, and curing to ensure durability and effectiveness.

1. Preparation Stage

Proper preparation is the foundation of a successful ceramic coating application. This stage includes a full decontamination wash, removal of embedded surface contaminants with a clay bar treatment, paint correction if needed, and a final panel wipe with an IPA solution to ensure the surface is completely clean and ready for proper coating adhesion.

  • Wash the Car (Decontamination Wash)
  • Remove Surface Contaminants (Clay Bar Treatment)
  • Paint Correction (Polishing/Compounding - Recommended)
  • Panel Wipe (Degreasing with IPA Solution)

2. Application Stage

The application stage should be completed in a dust-free, well-ventilated environment with moderate temperatures for the best results. During this process, the ceramic coating is carefully applied across the vehicle’s painted surfaces to create an even, durable layer of protection.

  • Apply the coating in a dust-free, well-ventilated garage with moderate temperatures.
  • The ceramic coating is applied to the entire vehicle.

3. Curing Stage

After application, the coating needs time to cure properly in order to reach its full hardness and performance. The vehicle should be kept away from water for 24 to 48 hours, not washed for at least 7 days, and ideally allowed to cure indoors for up to 2 weeks before being exposed to harsher conditions.

  • Avoid water exposure for 24-48 hours.
  • Do not wash the car for 7 days.
  • If possible, let the car cure indoors for up to 2 weeks before exposing it to harsh conditions.

4. Maintenance & Care

Ongoing maintenance is important to preserve the coating’s performance and appearance over time. This includes washing the vehicle with pH-neutral shampoo, avoiding automatic car washes with brushes, applying a ceramic booster periodically, and scheduling maintenance as needed to help extend the coating’s lifespan.

  • Use PH-neutral shampoos for washing.
  • Avoid automatic car washes with brushes.
  • Apply a ceramic booster or topper every few months for extended durability.
  • Perform periodic maintenance to maximize the lifespan of the coating (typically 2-5 years).

Depending on the product and maintenance, it can last anywhere from 1 to 5+ years.

Protection against UV rays, oxidation, chemical stains, minor scratches, and bird droppings. It also makes cleaning easier due to its hydrophobic properties.

It adds a protective layer, but it won’t stop major scratches or rock chips. It’s more effective at resisting light scratches and swirl marks.

Yes, it lasts much longer and provides superior protection. Wax needs frequent reapplication, while ceramic coatings can last years with proper care.

Regular hand washing with pH-neutral soap, avoiding automatic car washes, and using maintenance sprays help prolong its life.

Yes! It enhances the depth and gloss of your paint, making the car look sleek and polished.
